Adhesives

An overview of all beko adhesives

High-performance adhesives by beko

Adhesives have a wide area of use. The properties of adhesives make it easy to stick two materials together. Adhesives are used in almost all areas of industry due to their high resilience and ability to take on additional functions. They can also come with various supplementary features. For example, some adhesives can also be used as sealants and others can have electricity-conducting properties.

How does an adhesive adhere?

Adhesives adhere to various materials. That’s why it’s important to choose the right adhesive for each situation. beko provides a wide range of different adhesives for all kinds of applications. Whether or not an adhesive holds in place depends largely on how well both the adhesive and surface bond, i.e. how well the adhesive “hooks” onto the pores in the surface. The inner consistency of the adhesive is also important. The stronger the inner adhesive strength is, the more strongly the adhesive will hold the workpieces together.

How do I remove adhesive?

Adhesive is known to be designed to bond something together for as long as possible. That’s what makes removing adhesives, for the most part, an arduous task. If it has just been applied and the adhesive has not yet hardened, it can be removed with a bit of elbow grease, e.g. using our TecLine Industrial Cleaning Wipe, For adhesives that have already hardened, removing them can only be done mechanically. Using our cutter blades and spatulas, you can remove the most coarse residues and then smoothen the surface using sandpaper.

One adhesive for all applications?

Not all adhesives are created equal. Even though adhesives can be used to bond a variety of materials, how effective an adhesive is depends largely on its composition. The world of industry and trade can present various problems and these can pose particular challenges for our products. Based on these challenges, beko has developed numerous adhesives with very special properties.
